About Liberty Fire District
Operated by Volunteers. Dedicated to Our Community.
Liberty Fire District is an independent special fire control district serving residents, businesses, and visitors in northern Walton County, Florida.
Our volunteer members provide fire protection, emergency medical first response, rescue services, and fire safety education. They contribute their time, complete training, and respond when their neighbors need help.
Neighbors Serving Neighbors
Our members balance service with jobs, families, school, and other responsibilities. Some serve as firefighters, medical responders, or apparatus operators. Others contribute through community education, administrative assistance, and department support.
Together, they help protect our community through emergency response, preparation, and prevention.
Our Services
Liberty Fire District responds to fires, medical emergencies, vehicle crashes, and other rescue and hazardous situations within our service area. We also work with neighboring agencies through mutual aid.
Beyond emergency response, the District offers smoke alarm assistance, voluntary home fire safety visits, community presentations, commercial fire inspections, and development plan review.
