Taxes, Fees & Assessments

Liberty Fire District collects an annual non-ad valorem fire assessment and applicable impact fees. These are separate charges with different purposes and payment processes.

The information below reflects Fiscal Year 2026–27, which runs from October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027.

Annual Fire Assessments

The annual fire assessment supports the District’s fire protection services, equipment, facilities, training, and operational needs.

Property Category Annual Assessment

Residential - $75 per dwelling

Commercial - $163

Vacant property - No assessment

A non-ad valorem assessment is not calculated as a percentage of the property’s taxable value.

If you have questions about a property’s classification, the number of dwellings assessed, or a charge appearing on your property tax bill, contact the District with the property address and parcel identification number.

Impact Fees

Impact fees are separate from the annual fire assessment and apply to qualifying development within Liberty Fire District.

Development category - Impact fee

Single-family residential - $75

Commercial - $163
